Carol Clark

Texas Master Naturalist Carol Clark covers the amazing story of the Monarch butterfly lifecycle and migration, clears some misconceptions, details historic and present threats, and explains why Texas is a pivotal location for Monarchs’ future success. There are real steps North Texas residents can take to boost the Monarch population, and you’ll hear those, too, plus learn what favorite (and nutritious!) plants you can introduce into the garden to create your own Monarch waystation. Carol is a longtime Native Plant Society of Texas member and a Conservation Specialist with Monarch Watch. When not busy teaching about natural history topics, she enjoys tending her own remarkable 37-acre Clark Haven Farm wildlife refuge in Cooke County.
