On the ground
Hands in the dirt, eyes on the future
Community service is where conservation stops being an idea and becomes a Saturday morning. From hauling debris out of a creek bed to setting young oaks into the ground, ACC members show up where it matters most — working side by side with neighbors to care for Arlington’s natural areas.
No experience needed. We bring the gloves, the tools, and the know-how; you bring a willingness to get a little muddy for a good cause. Every work day ends with a stretch of land left better than we found it.

Creek & Trail Cleanups
A few hours with grabbers and bags keeps litter out of our waterways and trails clear for the next family that walks them. Our most popular — and most kid-friendly — way to pitch in.
Tree Plantings
Native trees cool our neighborhoods, shelter wildlife, and stand for generations. Each season we put new oaks, elms, and pecans in the ground — and come back to make sure they thrive.
Habitat Restoration
Pulling invasive plants and reseeding with natives gives local pollinators and birds the home they need. Slower, hands-on work for volunteers who like to see a place transform over time.
