EV Myths and FUDs (Fears, Uncertainties, Doubts)

So, you may want to buy an electric vehicle soon but don’t remotely know how or where to begin. This presentation is for you. EV drum beater Eric Pratt recommends, first, that you learn the ABCs of EVs through the U.S. Department of Energy's pamphlet and the annotated review he prepared for the North Texas Renewable Energy Group — and He addresses in his presentation the pros and cons, misconceptions, and what to look for/avoid in EVs Eric and his wife Suzie have driven EVs since 2016, indulging a decades-long interest in renewable energy in the built environment. They currently drive a Bolt EV for their around the Metroplex car and an Ioniq 5 for longer trips. Eric has served as secretary of NTREG, an education and advocacy nonprofit, for the past six years. He earned a B.S. in mechanical engineering with a focus on energy and fluid systems at UT Austin, then worked 32 years as an aerospace design engineer developing mechanical and hydraulic components for commercial and military aircraft.
